A ribbon casually draped across my desk became the starting point for this piece. Its gentle curves and looping form translated into a steam-bent wooden chair — a cozy enclosed retreat for a cat, with enough presence to double as a bedside table. Metal brackets hold the structure together, keeping the form clean and the construction honest.
